About the speaker

Terence Tan Si Peng is a Singapore-based arts advocate with BA and MA degrees in Theatre Studies from the National University of Singapore. He is President of UNIMA’s Applied Puppetry Commission for 2025–2029 and co-founder and Secretary of UNIMA Singapore. His intercultural and applied-puppetry work supports education, disaster and refugee relief, hospital workshops and social connection across the region.

Registered in 2020, UNIMA Singapore brings together contemporary, traditional and applied puppetry practitioners. Through exhibitions, research, intercultural events and local arts development, it connects Singapore’s puppetry community with artists throughout Southeast Asia.
