About the speaker

Ho Kah Wai is a Singaporean educator and puppeteer who founded Paper Monkey Theatre in 2008 after recognising the need for theatre created specifically for children. Its adaptations of Asian classics include Journey to the West, Nezha and The Magic Lantern. He uses Asian puppetry traditions to connect young audiences with their cultural roots while reimagining folktales for contemporary life.
